GCET MCA 2014 Eligibility

GCET MCA 2014 Eligibility to seek admission for MCA course is based on candidates’ academic qualifications in intermediate examination. The exam conducting body Gujarat Technical University will not be conducting an entrance exam to offer admission for five years full time integrated MCA course for the academic year 2014.

Admission for MCA course will be done on the basis of marks scored by candidates in intermediate examination. Seats for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Socially and Educationally Backward, Class, including Widows and Orphan of any caste will be reserved and its percentage is 7%, 15%, 27% respectively.

 

Eligibility Criteria of GCET MCA 2014

  • Candidates must have passed the intermediate examination from a university situated in the Gujarat State.
  • If candidates have passed from a university located outside Gujarat, in such case, candidates should have passed the HigherSecondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalent examination from any of the one below listed options,
  1. the Gujarat Board
  2. the Central Board of Secondary Education Board/ Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi Board provided that the school in which candidates have studied, should have been located in the State of Gujarat or in the Union Territories of Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
  • Candidates must have passed intermediate examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects- Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology /Technical Vocational subject.
  • Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% in intermediate examination.
  • Candidates belonging from reserved categories must have obtained a minimum of 40% in intermediate examination.
